webSPELL Titles and what Google does with them
weSEO.de has a long Title. "weSEO - Your webSPELL Mods and Addons" thats more then 50% of about 70 letters that Google shows in there Search-Results.
Lets try something here.
Homepage-Title: weSEO - Your webSPELL Mods and Addons
News-Headline: webSPELL.org releases new Feature "My Websites"
What Google does:
weSEO - Your webSPELL Mods and Addons - webSPELL.org releases new...
Pretty sad, huh? What if someone searches for "webSPELL My Website" - Google is not stupid so it will find you Website anyway but - the User, most likely, is stupid. He does not read the Keyword he was looking for in you Search-Results-Headline and skips to the next Search-Result.
So what to do? We clearly want the Headline in front.
Just open src/func/seo.php and search for:
1. 2. 3. | function settitle($string){ return $GLOBALS['hp_title'].' - '.$string; } |
Replace with:
1. 2. 3. | function settitle($string){ return $string.' - '.$GLOBALS['hp_title']; } |
Now your Google-Search-Result will look like this:
webSPELL.org releases new Feature "My Websites" - weSEO - Your webSPELL Mods...
